In today’s episode of Burn it Down, Don’t Reno, The Punch List – The Beginning our beleaguered couple faces self doubt and marital strife.
I spent the last several days inspecting the work in as much detail as I could tolerate with Becky joining me in the final hours to come up with the first of hopefully the few punch lists we will be submitting to HIC (Home Improvement Contractor). I’m steeling myself for what I anticipate will be violent torrent of a backlash.
All this amid unbridled joy and passionate self expression that is unmarred by living in the Disney+ version of The Money Pit. 🙄
On another note, I’ve received their final reconciliation number and I really don’t think HIC is going to like how deeply the backdated (to the time the defects were noticed) retainage and my reconciliation number for items they through out or damaged during the renovations are going to cut into their number.
