In today’s episode of Burn it Down, Don’t Reno, Adventures in Finished Paint – Office Edition.
This is how the contractor left the drywall and paint which I assume is supposed to be finish work and where I’ll be starting the punch list from. I’m not entirely sure everything I can see shows up in the photos, especially the rings around the can lights resulting from filling in around them with a brush after using a roller on the rest of the ceiling. I guess this guy has never heard of cutting in with a brush first and then rolling off the area to give a consistent finish.
Keep in mind that this is only in one room and shows less than 1/2 of the defects, depending on how you count. I mean is a shitty cut in between the wall and the ceiling one defect, each peak, per inch, per foot, inquiring minds want to know. How fucked up does it have to be before you say, start over, patch, mud, skim coat, primer and two color coats, and don’t touch anything? Would you go to arbitration and try to fire them and hire a painter? I’m getting quotes for painting now to see how bad things are.
Bastard must think I’m stupid, blind, or afraid.
PS wanna bet the paint is of absolute shit quality?
