We bought our home in 1999 and apparently never noticed that there was a distortion field anchored to the area around our back stairs creating the illusion of a handrail. So neither I, nor Becky, nor anyone else who has ever visited our home has ever actually seen or used this illusory hand rail.
Luckily for us the contractor has photographic evidence, which I’ve requested a copy of, proving there was no hand rail, which we’ll gratefully use to address the cognitive dissonance we are experiencing between our remembered experience and reality.Hmm, looking forward to catching the owner lying in writing.
